Creative Writing Club Fall Contest Do you enjoy writing? Enter our Fall Writing Contest! Submit an original: Short story or poem Fall-themed No more than 500 words Due November 1st to Mrs. Berk Use your imagination and bring the magic of fall to life through your writing! Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners! Please email priscilla_berk@pasd.us if you have any questions.
Pumpkin contest: The Gardening Club is excited to host its Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest! Gather your homeroom's creativity and design a pumpkin masterpiece for a chance to win a special treat. Contest Guidelines: Pumpkins may be no larger than a basketball. One pumpkin entry per homeroom. No carving or cutting! All pumpkins must remain whole. Completed pumpkins are due by 3:15 PM on Wednesday, October 28 and should be placed on the tables in the Commons. Voting will take place through a Google Form emailed to students and staff beginning October 30. Voting will close at midnight on October 31. The homeroom with the most votes will earn a special treat! Let your imagination run wild and show off your homeroom spirit. We can't wait to see all of your creative pumpkin designs
Student council: Attention all students interested in joining student council! There will be a meeting on Thursday 10/22 after school until 3:30pm in room 205 with Mrs. Allison and Mrs. Henry. Interested students unable to make the meeting should reach out to Mrs. Allison or Mrs. Henry. Hope to see you there!
Boys basketball: Attention 7th and 8th grade boys interested in trying out for the basketball team this winter. There will be an informational meeting afterschool on Monday, October 26th at 2:45 in Mr. Massar's room 108. If you are unable to attend the meeting please email or talk to Mr. Cap in the Counseling Office.
Chocolate Sale Money due NOW! All money from the PTO chocolate sale is due to the main office by October 23rd.
Picture retake day is October 22nd! If you were absent on picture day, a new student and missed picture day, or if you are just not happy with your last picture, please sign up for picture retake day. There is a clip board by the attendance window to sign up to have your picture taken. If you already bought a picture and package and you are not happy with pictures, please bring it with you to retakes. Pictures can be ordered online at Inter-State.com/order code 0544XQU
Crochet Club Do you want to learn to knit or crochet? Do you love to create things? Join crochet club! Meetings will be on Thursdays from 2:45-3:45 every other week, starting Thursday, October 15th, in Mrs. Shaw's room 137. If interested, stop by to see Mrs. Shaw or Mrs. Allison to pick up a permission form. All students who plan to stay must have a permission form and arrange a ride for the 3:45 pick up. We look forward to making fun things together!
Flag Patrol Volunteers Needed! 🇺🇸 Are you looking for a way to help out around our school? We are seeking responsible middle school students to join our Flag Patrol team! Flag Patrol members will help take down and properly fold the American flag and bring in the bus sign each day after school. Students who volunteer must commit to serving for one full month. Requirements: We need at least 4 students each month. Students must be a walker, biker, car rider, or late bus rider. Meet inside the front doors at 2:35 PM each school day. Duties are usually finished by 2:47 PM. This is a great opportunity to show leadership, responsibility, and school pride.
